A file is a file and as long as you are not trying to open it on the Mac side without some other product, you're fine to download and store them there. I don't use virus software on my Mac and have not had any problems (knock on wood). I don't connect to the Internet from my unprotected Windows partition (except for the automatic Windows updates). I have also never had a virus on either O/S but when I used to use a PC, I always used virus software. If you are a Fusion user, check out the Unity mode. While not as much effort as having to reboot, it still took longer. What a convenience!! Before I would suspend and restart the virtual machine every time. Products like Fusion allow you to run both simultaneously and switch between applications anytime. The disadvantage of Boot Camp is that you have to choose which O/S you want to use and then reboot to run the other one.

I've used Fusion (by VMware) for years and it works flawlessly. My programs work great without Fusions nor 's just that I didn't know if I could still buy designs on the internet.and how I would get them to work. I am glad you mentioned Parallels.cause I was going to buy that.now I won't if you say you had trouble with it. I just didn't know if the design was readable on the MAC side without PE Design being on it. I do not have internet service on the XP side, (wanted to only use it for the embroidery program.didn't want to deal with viruses) so I will not be able to buy my designs and just download to my Windows would all have to be done on the MAC side. I just bought a MAC and installed Windows XP to the Mac.When you turn on the MAC two icons come up.then you choose if you want MAC or Windows XP.

if so, can you use the MAC side for the internet and buy your designs/download them to the MAC.and they will open up?.and then can you transfer to the PC side.?
Is your PE Design downloaded to your PC?.
